Job Purpose
-
Supervise and coordinate all domestic transport requirements for employees, AKIS Students and dependants in Al Khor Community (AKC), satellite compounds and Doha compounds.
Key Job Accountabilities - I
-
Administer AKC transport related contracts and review transport contracts and tenders. Provide recommendations and alterations to contracts, to improve the service to the Company.

Prepare monthly reports on all transport activities and monitor all changes made to work order/requisitions with efficient and timely communications with customers to ensure that changes are implemented in accordance with appropriate change management guidelines.

Supervise the day-to-day administration of transportation, transport requests, shuttle bus services and school routes by delegating driver’s duties and preparing schedules and monitoring the use of special services of transportation for the Community to ensure an efficient and reliable transportation service.

Liaise with traffic department to ensure compliance and investigate and report on any accidents involving company owned or rented vehicles to ensure compliance.

Implement and maintain all transport safety rules and regulations and prepare the safety-handbook for use by transport contractors and customers.
Key Job Accountabilities - II

Conduct monthly bus safety inspections and organise quarterly safety meetings and training courses in defensive driving & first aid, to ensure that contractors receive the necessary training to enable them carry out their duties effectively.

Coordinate with respective Government agencies, local authorities, municipality, and other agencies outside of the Company to facilitate better operations and resolve any issues related to these authorities.

Monitor and review all data related to AKC buses including maintenance and performance (KPI) and provide related reports to AKC management. Check attendance time sheet of all Bus contractors.

Monitor AKC vehicles including fuel issued, schedule, maintenance and registration renewal and coordinate repair and replacement with General Services department to ensure a safe and cost-effective transport service.

Review and prepare the transport budget for submission to the Head of Community Services to ensure accurate budgeting.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or logistics.
Knowledge and/or Experience - I
-
8 years’ experience in handling transport service.

Management or supervisory experience.
-
Experience dealing with people from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds.
-
Knowledge with IBM and GPS program control mechanisms.
