Job Purpose

  • Conduct and evaluate HSE&Q training programs to fulfill the company’s mandatory and skill training requirements for employees.

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

  • The role requires (1) operating in technical environment with multiple asset locations with different requirements and priorities e.g., onshore, offshore, housing, offices etc; (2) dealing with assets that are constantly changing, requiring adaptation of training programs; (3) a high degree of self-direction; (4) periodically dealing with short deadlines and under time pressure to meet deliverables for customers and stakeholders.

Key Job Accountabilities - I

  • Support the development of standard methods of instruction and prepares training programs for new recruits/trainees to accomplish their Individual Development Plans (IDPs), Individual Training Plans (ITPs) etc.
  • Deliver training for company employees/contactors/visitors on the requisite HSE&Q policy and procedures for use and practice within the organisation.
  • Support the development of training monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure consistent reporting, analysis of results, timely follow-up and close out of gaps to enhance training quality and effectiveness.
  • Maintain HSE&Q policies and procedures which are fit for department training purposes.
  • Maintain training related equipment, facilities, and training aids to ensure they are operational at all times and meet relevant codes, standards and Company policies and procedures.

Key Job Accountabilities - II

  • Support in conducting training in HSE&Q programs for external stakeholders including employee’s families, shareholders, business partners, suppliers, and local communities.

  • Maintain training records and issues training cards and certifications.

  • Conduct assessment and tests for training that requires that test.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science.

Knowledge and/or Experience

  • 6 years’ experience in safety operations within oil and gas industry.

  • Knowledge of current national and international legislation related to HSE&Q.  

  • Requires emphasis on safety, training and operations.

Technical and Business Skills

  • Proficient in written and spoken English.  
  • Computer literate, familiar working with Microsoft office applications.
  • Strong analytical skills and presentation skills.
