Job Purpose
- Supervise workshop fabrication activities and workshop fabrication and welding maintenance team for operations readiness, commissioning, and start-up, executing all tasks to support all Company facilities onshore offshore, onsite, and offsite to the highest levels of safety, quality, integrity, and reliability to achieve optimal operating reliability targets as required by respective Operations Expansion & Start Up (OES) or Offshore Expansion, Sustainability & Start-Up (OESS) departments.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Supervise the welding and fabrication activities of the fabrication workshop with optimum utilization of resources to ensure safety and, execution of fabrication and welding activities for the division.
- Ensure that welding and fabrication activities are delivered in accordance with international standard and codes as per Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and the company standards and specifications.
- Ensure welding consumables are used and stored as per the company standards and specifications.
- Track the fabrication and welding activities in meeting the biweekly schedule.
- Coordinate the welding and fabrication activities during normal operations and in shutdown, quality, and safety of execution.
- Check the fabrication equipment, welding machines are maintained and tested periodically to meet the company standards and inspection requirement.
- Ensure the welding gas cylinders are stored and used as per the company standards and specifications.
- Provide effective Toolbox Talks (TBT) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for all activities.
- Ensure fabrication materials are used without wastage and remaining unused materials are returned to warehouse with necessary documentation.
Qualifications
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in engineering.
Knowledge and/or Experience
- 8 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry or petrochemical industry in the fabrication or welding field.
- Knowledge of welding codes.
Technical and Business Skills
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Computer literacy (MS Office).
- Capable to conduct Toolbox Talks (TBT) and hazard Identifications.
