Part A: Job Specification

Job Purpose

  • Support the electrical field maintenance activities safely, including preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance, to ensure reliability and availability of Company Assets (North, South, RLTO & Refining, Barzan and NFE facilities).

Job Context & Major Challenge(s) - I

  • Carry out the assigned job as directed by Electrical Foreman/Supervisor.
  • Works closely with Asset team to manage operational and safety risk.
  • Follows best practices and lesson learnt while performing maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all multiple job pre-requisites are available/verified before start of the job as applicable, like BPO, TBT, LMRA, etc.
  • Supports for plant emergencies as applicable.

Key Job Accountabilities - I

  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance work on field Electrical Equipment as directed in the field and workshop, in line with safe work practices.
  • Ensure that material and spare parts are available and in good condition before starting maintenance activities as per work plan.
  • Ensure applicable maintenance procedures are followed and ensure proper controls are in place to ensure safe workplace.
  • Provide accurate records and close-out reports of all completed work as per company requirements, as requested and guided by Foreman/Supervisor.
  • Participate in troubleshooting of field Electrical issues, as directed, and guided by Foreman/Supervisor and issue timely reports to the Foreman/Supervisor.

Key Job Accountabilities - II

  • Review the Piping and Instrument Diagram/Drawing (P&IDs), loop drawings, hook-up drawings, Electrical Index, Electrical datasheets, logic diagrams and & other documents required to tackle issues related to field Electrical Equipment.
  • Perform calibrated/certified tools specific for the job type and ensure requirements for Intrinsic Safety (IS).
  • Participate in regular Toolbox meetings with colleagues and reports all Near Misses, Incidents and Accidents during operation by raising B-Safe / observation cards.
  • Support corporate initiatives and programs for the department.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Secondary School education followed by vocational training program (TAFE).

Knowledge and/or Experience - I

  • 5 years’ experience as a technician in the Oil & Gas industry or petrochemical industry.
