Maintenance I&C Division Manager

Job Purpose

  • Direct and manage a multidisciplinary team to execute critical and routine maintenance activities for Instrumentation & Controls (I&C), ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with company policies. Provide technical expertise for Level 1 and Level 2 troubleshooting to support operations and maintenance of instrumentation, controls, and safety systems for onshore and terminal assets.

Key Job Accountabilities - I

  • Set division objectives, track performance, and promote best practices and technological advancements. Support the development and review of equipment strategies to optimize reliability and maintenance resources.
  • Align I&C maintenance resources with geographically spread assets based on risk prioritization to ensure product delivery and minimize financial and environmental impact. Provide in-house technical training to enhance I&C team skills.
  • Oversee the execution of plant changes related to I&C through MOC processes. Provide Level 2 troubleshooting for Instrumentation and Level 1 & 2 support for Control systems, including QA/QC programs.
  • Oversee all maintenance activities for various control systems, ensuring compliance with procedures, safety, and quality standards. Lead the I&C maintenance Engineering team during critical shutdown activities.
  • Ensure maintenance procedures for I&C systems are up-to-date and incorporate best practices. Ensure compliance with regulatory, ICS, and QCERT requirements.

Key Job Accountabilities - II

  • Oversee and manage service agreements and contracts to ensure compliance.
  • Direct risk assessments, MOC processes, and engineering studies for Electrical and Measurement systems.
  • Maintain a direct interface with internal key maintenance service delivery divisions in (Workshop & Support Services, Planning and scheduling,) to ensure all support is provided to all dedicated measurement team in quality and timely manner.
  • Direct and assess the preparation of Work Plan & Budget (WP&B) for Maintenance I&C division in accordance with business requirements and maintenance department budget. Authorized to make financial decisions within the company policy and approved department budget.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and ensure timely closing of audit recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Knowledge and/or Experience - I

  • 12 years’ diversified maintenance experience in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry, of which 3 years are in leadership roles.

Technical and Business Skills - I

  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Strong technical expertise in Instruments and Controls with a good working and leadership knowledge.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Familiar with I&C and ICS security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Budgeting/costing and contract management skills.
  • Competent in accordance with technical competency framework requirements.
