Job Purpose
- Coordinate and supervise warehouse material preservation activity by overseeing plans, processes, procedures and associated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), to ensure that materials are protected, preserved, and fit for use in alignment with operational and end-user needs. Lead third-party contractor activities and preservation team execution to meet safety, availability, and reliability standards.
Key Job Accountabilities - I
- Coordinate and monitor the execution of material preservation activities and KPIs, ensuring alignment with divisional objectives and performance expectations.
- Assess and verify preservation needs by analyzing material types, storage durations, and physical conditions to determine the appropriate level of activity required.
- Supervise and evaluate third party contractors and warehouse staff in executing preservation tasks, ensuring all milestones and compliance with associated contract terms and conditions and contract scope with QatarEnergy LNG interests.
- Conduct inspections, identify preservation risks, and report areas of concern including material storage requirements, material physical condition, and Material Master MM records preservation misalignment(s) and coordinate corrective action.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to resolve technical preservation issues and ensure materials are preserved according to specifications.
Key Job Accountabilities - II
- Prepare and report preservation data analysis to management, including activity plans vs actuals (variance analysis), issues log, milestones and progress, and improvement actions.
- Guide and mentor preservation personnel and contractors to ensure task knowledge, job readiness, and safe handling practices.
- Conduct Management of Change (MOC) activity related to material preservation practices, ensuring stakeholder alignment and process efficiency.
- Support inventory readiness by ensuring that preserved materials remain usable and compliant with end-user expectations.
- Review and enhance preservation related policies, procedures, and system functionalities to ensure alignment with operational requirements, support continuous improvement, and promote consistent application across preservation activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, applied science or logistics.
- Training or certification on material preservation techniques and standards.
Knowledge and/or Experience - I
- 8 years’ experience in oil and gas industry.
- Good knowledge of supplier relations and industry practice.
- Knowledge of Process Improvement methodology.
- Knowledge of material preservation and contract management.
