Operations Specialist - LNG Process

Job Purpose

  • Perform a variety of operational, technical and business duties which includes opportunities identification, Asset/Start-up Division performance reporting, business planning and provide operational technical inputs to support achieving the overall objectives.

Key Job Accountabilities - I

  • Provide support to the Expansion & Start-up Management on all issues relating to current and future Asset Operations, including those connected to Organization and Development issues. Participate in all major issues and decisions associated with management of the Asset.
  • Advise the Start-up Division on Operations Readiness requirements, including Commissioning, Start-Up and early operation, for plant changes and projects executed in the Asset/ Start-up area.
  • Propose the approach for opportunity identification, best practise implementation, priority setting, alignment across functions, and alignment with the organization's objectives. Measure achievements against corporate objectives through Asset KPIs to ensure that performance is and remains consistent with organizational targets and that operations are at or moving towards pacesetter levels. Conduct meetings to update the Asset/Start-up Div. Reference Plan (ARP) for the entire assets equipment’s and facilities.
  • Check and follow up of all abnormal operating conditions of the plant during start up and stabilization period. Provide support in the identification of problem areas, or operating areas requiring change or alteration of a technical nature to meet varying operating conditions, determines severity of problems and develop solutions.
  • Conduct PSP assessments and Emergency Drills Plans with all Heads as per schedule and reports the lessons Learned.

Key Job Accountabilities - II

  • Ensure technical best practices are implemented and followed across the Asset/Start-up Div. Liaise with Maintenance and Engineering personnel to review process studies for plant events. Prepare reports and inputs data for the bi-annual Communication Forums and Asset/Start-up Div. Performance.
  • Prepare ART (Alarm Review Team) charter for the Asset/Start-up Div. Document the meeting outcome and tracks EMOC’s progress to provide the required clarifications to sustain the ART process. Prepare monthly report for the Alarm Management progress and achievements.
  • Formulate the Asset/Start-up Div. Issue Register, monitoring and follow up including Management of Change (MOC) tracking, projects status, procedure modifications, safety performance, audits follow-up, Shutdown Scope Change Request (SSCR) control and tracking, Corrective Action Request (CAR) follow-up to achieve Asset/Start-up Div. performance target.
  • Facilitate Risk Screening (RS), Formal Risk Assessments (FRA); Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFAs), Management of Change (MOCs), Mitigate Volume Threat (MVT) review meetings. Maintain risk register and captures Manage Operations Risk (MOR) actions until closeout. Prepare the Criticality Assessment for all operating procedures and standing instructions for endorsement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

Knowledge and/or Experience - I

  • 8 years' experience in LNG Process Operations.
  • Working experience in a change management role and in implementing business improvement programmes.

Technical and Business Skills - I

  • Flexible and innovative, have a focused, pragmatic approach to solving complex problems and a keen determination to deliver positive results.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Creative thinking skills to resolve complex people, facilities, and business and work process related problems.
