Job Purpose
- Coordinate with lead in assisting and completing strategic cost and contract related activities within the section, ensuring timely submissions, and contributing to cost optimization.
Key Job Accountabilities - I
- Ensure smooth functioning and effective implementation of key tasks and oversee the cost estimation activities, in coordination with lead, to ensure efficiency and cost optimization.
- Assist with developing strategies for key contracts including negotiation strategies to obtain fair prices and maintain cost effectiveness.
- Review demand plans prepared by various departments to ensure they are compiled and submitted as per the timelines agreed with Supply department.
- Coordinate and liaise with the Supply department to maintain clear lines of communication.
- Liaise with the Finance Department to ensure invoices are cleared on time. Coordinate and support the OPCO Budget and Reporting team, submitting all deliverables on time.
Key Job Accountabilities - II
- Coordinate all internal and external audits for the section, facilitating compliance and areas of improvement. Finalize and maintain updated status of the section KPIs, ensuring performance metrics are accurately tracked and reported.
- Maintain an updated action tracking register and review monthly reports to identify and implement necessary actions in coordination with the lead.
- Maintain updated contracts list and track the validity and cap value utilization of the contracts on a continuous basis, ensuring that all contracts are current and maintaining budgetary and contractual compliance.
- Develop and execute Contract Work Orders (CWO), including ensuring efficient management of the final payments and successful contract close-out.
- Track, forecast and report the contract cost periodically to make sure actual cost/expenditures do not exceed the value of contracts by the end of the respective contracts’ term.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or business administration.
Knowledge and/or Experience
- 8 years’ experience in a cost and contracts management environment within the oil and gas industry.
Technical and Business Skills
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar resource planning system software.
- Good knowledge of contract law and industry practices.
