Job Purpose
- Coordinate through functional leadership within the Offshore Operations shift team to ensure safe, effective, efficient and reliable operation associated with both the Main Offshore Complex & Remote Wellhead facility. Communicate and direct and oversee a team of DCS Panel including Field operators and Production Foremen in accordance with company policies and procedures, including the implementation and administration of the company permit to work system. Coordinate asset activities across multiple areas and supporting functions to achieve asset Operational objectives.
Job Context & Major Challenge(s) - I
- Ensure all surveillance parameters are within system design operating boundaries, whilst ensuring well stream production rates achieve onshore requirements.
- Provide administration control for the implementation and compliance of all offshore personnel to the company permit to work system.
- Work a 28/28-day rotation sequence, within a 12-hour shift cycle in offshore.
- Responsibility for critical facility operating decisions, giving direction to both DSC and Field Operators.
- Key member of the Offshore Incident Response team.
- Operates within dynamic operational and logistical environment and adapts accordingly based on changing weather conditions.
Key Job Accountabilities - I

Coordinate and monitor the day-to-day operation, including support facilities to ensure the daily production targets are achieved by following safe, efficient, reliable and environmentally sound practices, whilst recommending process or safety improvements opportunities, when identified.

Review offshore policies, strategies, standards and safety procedures concerning operations within the offshore facility environment. Assist in the development of new procedures based on any new equipment installation and assists in operating procedures reviews, drawing updates, risk assessments and risk resolution when identified.

Provide 24-hour coverage for all operational issues within the Main Central Complex and the multiple Remote Wellhead Platform facilities in support of the HOP and OIM. Coordinate as Operations Lead within the Offshore Emergency Incident Response Team.

Lead the shutdown operational readiness at Offshore, liaise with Shutdown team, Offshore Planners and Maintenance Supervisors for efficient planning, scheduling and execution of shutdown activities and Lead operations shift team to ensure appropriate resource allocation for operational and first line maintenance activities.

Administrate and implement the company permit to work system by acting as the “PTW Issuing Authority” whilst providing feedback and recommendations to offshore management staff when areas for improvement are identified. Support all type of audits and implement the recommendations within the stipulated period.
Key Job Accountabilities - II

Coordinate in alignment with the Offshore Operations Support teams across multiple assets the execution on both the Main Complex and Remote Wellhead Platform all activities including infield process and utility surveillance, well valve testing and well stream sampling, xmas tree and wellhead maintenance, well flow rate testing, well intervention program execution i.e., wire-line operations and well drilling/work-over/recompletion activities.

Coordinate and facilitate all operations and maintenance activities on the remote wellhead facilities in alignment with HOM/HOP and with the Offshore Planner and Logistics Supervisors for smooth operations.

Coordinate troubleshooting of incidents or upset conditions within the offshore facilities. Ensure mitigation to any unplanned Volumetric Downtime (VDT), prompt production recovery and prepare for submission any Production Loss Accounting System (PLAS) report. Escalate threats and deviations, key issues and comply the Process Surveillance Engineering recommendations to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Track Chemical Management and ensure safe bunkering activities. Ensure critical chemical stock levels, with adequate inventory is available at each location to meet required injection rate prescribed by Flow Assurance. Ensure all preparations and execution plan to manage Hydrate mitigation are achieved. Lead the team in executing Pipeline Maintenance, Batch & Intelligent Pigging Programs across multiple assets.

Provide training for new employees to support their understanding of the various offshore process systems and facilities. Ensure all Operations staff competencies remain valid by providing appropriate competency trainings (internal & external) based on the approved training matrix. Support in HAZOP, HAZID, cold eye review and start up readiness audits and risk assessment studies. Engage in RS/FRA’s as required. Report and participate in incident and near miss investigation process. Support and participate all minor and major offshore projects for safe execution of the projects.
Qualifications
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in an Engineering discipline.
Knowledge and/or Experience - I
- 8 years diversified Oil and Gas or Chemical Industry experience within Engineering, Operations or Maintenance in which 5 years at a supervisory level.
- 3 years DCS process panel operator experience.
