Job Purpose
- Conduct and support the maintenance, modification and other related works of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system, including preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance. Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, preservation and start-up tasks to ensure maximum operational efficiency of Company Assets.
Reporting and Relationships
- Reports to Senior Electrical Supervisor (OESS).
- Direct reports: None.
Internal
- Regular contact with OES Maintenance, Operations and Engineering departments.
External
- Periodic contact with contractors and third-party suppliers.
Job Context & Major Challenge(s)
- The role provides support to QatarEnergy LNG facilities HVAC maintenance activities by the highest quality and safety standards as per Company standards and codes. This will involve working with project EPCI contractors and PMT offshore and possibly construction activities at contractor yard facility.

Key Job Accountabilities
- Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, preservation and start-up of new equipment and facilities.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance work on field HVAC equipment as directed in the field and workshop in line with safe work practices.
- Ensure that applicable material and spare parts are available and in good condition before commencing maintenance activities as per work plan.
- Ensure applicable maintenance procedures are followed and ensure proper controls are in place to ensure a safe workplace is maintained. Perform work activities with the aim of efficient execution of tasks as per schedule plan.
- Provide accurate records and close-out reports of all completed work as per company requirements, as requested and guided by Foreman/Supervisor.
- Participate in troubleshooting of HVAC issues, as directed and guided by Foreman/Supervisor and issues timely reports.
- Review the Ducting & Instrument Diagram and Drawings (D&IDs,) loop drawings, hook-up drawings, datasheets, logic diagrams and other documents related to the HVAC systems.
- Participate in Regular Toolbox meeting with colleagues. Report all Near Misses, Incidents and Accidents per company procedure and process.
Qualifications
- Completion of Secondary School education followed by vocational training program (TAFE).
Knowledge and/or Experience
- 3 years’ experience as a technician in the oil, gas or petrochemical industry.
Technical and Business Skills - I
- Extensive experience in the operation, maintenance and condition monitoring of HVAC equipment.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English.
- Good adaptability to multinational environment, with wide exposure to various cultures and customs.
- Computer literate with basic knowledge in MS Office software.
