Job Purpose
• Leverage in-depth understanding and demonstrate expert knowledge of financial risk management, financial risk assessment, financial risk control and governance policies, procedures, controls, and business processes. Manage and implement financial risk procedures and protocols that support the work of the Finance and Planning Group.
Key Job Accountabilities - I
- Establish and implement department specific policies, systems, and procedures that ensure effective mitigation of financial risk.
- Ensure financial risk assessments tools and techniques are applied to identity and mitigate risk.
- Validate and recommend adoption of financial risk management strategies consistent with policy and procedure.
- Assure and provide expert guidance on the overall impact of Financial Risk Management strategies on the business and highlight areas of potential concern for attention of the Head.
- Evaluate and continuously improve the tools used to mitigate financial risk.
Key Job Accountabilities - II
- Provide expert technical guidance on all areas of financial risk management for banks, LNG customers and suppliers.
- Prepare complex departmental reports and presentations to Management and key Stakeholders.
- Advise on financial policies and procedures and provide expert technical interpretation on policy and procedure to management.
- Provide professional input and advice on administration of financial securities.
- Develop and identify improvements to processes, procedures and related controls and lead the resolution of complex issues arising.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and an internationally recognized professional accounting and finance qualification (CFA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CMA).
Knowledge and/or Experience - I
• 7 years’ experience in treasury or finance related environment.
• Solid knowledge of accounting systems.
• Advanced financial knowledge within the area of specialization.
