Job Purpose
- Plan, develop and maintain a shutdown tracking schedule and activity work plan for offshore shutdown activities related to the offshore assets to ensure a safe, effective and efficient shutdown program, as well as to ensure planned activities are completed within the allocated or available timeframe and within budget. Assure all workforce, equipment, materials and logistical support requirements are in place that ensure shutdown activities are harmonized and tracked to completion.
Job Context & Major Challenge(s) - I
- The role requires to support the planning, scheduling and execution of all offshore Shutdown & Minor Projects activities including integrating Major Project SIMOPS modifications during shutdowns.
- Major Challenges are: (1) To deliver Shutdown (SD) plans and detailed schedules to determine SD Duration, it’s critical path and Near Critical paths; commissioning and Decommissioning sequence (2) Control & maintain a work list and work scope and control document for all shutdown activities; (3) Frequent detailed communication with a diverse number of stakeholders; (4) Ensure manpower, equipment and material availability within agreed timeframe; (5) Participant in Risk Screening and conduct clash reviews and lean thinking sessions to develop final resources profiles for SD, provide guidance and support assuring both logistical and weather constraints are factored-in within the offshore environment;
- Onshore office-based position, requiring significant offshore visits, prior, during and post shutdown completion.
Key Job Accountabilities - I
1. Develop and maintain a shutdown activity list with the relevant offshore asset, to ensure that shutdown plans meet business objectives including the planned facility handover of the asset equipment to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
2. Maintain accurate record of SD Work Orders (SD Revision Code, Settlement Rules, Priority) in SAP, and Primavera P6 for SD plans and schedule.
3. Develop advanced, detailed integrated schedules in scheduling software - Primavera P6, by provided detailed work packs and develop Work Breakdown Structure based on Shutdown Project requirement.
4. Perform quality checks on schedules and ensures that Planning & Scheduling best practices are followed.
5. Analyse schedules, work progress, identify risks and areas for improvement and optimization and provide recommendations as identified to optimize schedules.
6. Participate in clash, identify schedule clashes and density analysis and offer options and recommendations.
7. Ensure both maintenance, expansion and project shutdown integration opportunities are fully exploited to minimize VDT and improve shutdown planning efficiency.
8. Ensure optimal resource loading of schedules to produce workforce requirements, in alignment with offshore POB limitations at the time, prepare resource requirements and cost estimation.
9. Ensure that all shutdown procedures are available and reviewed to ensure completion of all documentation prior to each shutdown period.
10. Prepare comprehensive shutdown reports that may include management reports, deviation reports, critical path, progress versus baseline plans and S-Curves.
Qualifications
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering.
Knowledge and/or Experience - I
- 6 years diversified experience as a Technical Planner and Scheduler of activities associated with maintenance, production and materials, including shutdown planning / preparation and execution in an Offshore Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
- 5 years experienced in Primavera software with sound working knowledge of Primavera P6.
