Job Purpose

  • Provide guidance in the financial planning, reporting, analysis and associated system support activities across QatarEnergy LNG, all ventures, common facilities and projects. Deliver periodic and ad-hoc management information to various internal and external stakeholders across the business. Modify and develop processes, systems, controls and procedures, and provide advice and guidance to team members to meet the needs of the department.

Key Job Accountabilities - I

  • Provide guidance on the planning and reporting processes, systems, planning models and other elements required for the budgeting process, including all areas of financial and non-financial (volumetric, headcount, shipping) planning.
  • Provide advice and guidance across planning focal points for the in-year and long-range financial forecasting process, ensuring accurate and timely financial plans are provided to shareholders.
  • Support preparation of relevant management and executive reporting activities to contribute to its timely submission and accuracy, and support decision-making.
  • Prepare and issue periodic financial information, providing analysis as necessary and ensuring reports are issued to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Advise on development opportunities for the QatarEnergy LNG planning and reporting systems - maintain and enhance reports/models and implement user change requests.

Key Job Accountabilities - II

  • Understand and advise on source system setup, including master-data structures, data capture, modelling and computation to facilitate evolving reporting and analysis requirements.
  • Develop and design planning systems and Excel models to prepare financial plans, ad-hoc reporting and analysis; including undertaking comparative variance analysis (e.g., year-on-year and actual versus budget analysis).
  • Modify division policies and procedures, ensuring adequate controls and governance processes, and provide support during audit reviews for areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or IT/computing discipline, or
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline and an internationally recognised professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

Knowledge and/or Experience - I

  • 5 years' experience in accounting and finance and/or QatarEnergy LNG financial planning and reporting systems such as SAP BPC/SAC/Business Warehouse (BW).
  • Experience of preparing budgets and financial reports for large complex organisations.
  • Excellent financial knowledge in a range of areas including accounting, modelling, planning, reporting, analysis and financial systems.
  • Understanding of accounting principles, preparing financial statements, financial planning concepts and modelling techniques.
